Solar panels connected to a solar battery system for efficient energy storage and power savings

Tindo Solar – sustainable solar solutions

A rich history of innovation and quality

Tindo is an Australian solar pioneer crafting top-tier solar panels designed to withstand the diverse and challenging conditions of the Australian climate.

Founded in 2010 by Adrian Ferraretto, Richard Inwood, and Ben Kerry, Tindo was established with a dream to create a high-quality solar solution that would contribute to the preservation of Australian manufacturing and play a pivotal role in fostering a sustainable future.

Our founders’ enduring vision remains the driving force at the heart of Tindo, pushing us forward with passion and determination.

Their dream continues to inspire our people to constantly innovate and seek better outcomes, creating something exceptional every day.

In 2017, Tindo changed ownership, with Glenn Morelli taking the helm. Under his guidance, Tindo has expanded its manufacturing capabilities through a purpose-built facility, pushing the boundaries of solar panel production in Australia, prioritising quality and performance.

Distinguishing ourselves from other panel manufacturers is essential to Tindo’s ethos. Whether it’s our carefully selected manufacturing inputs, a stringent zero-defect policy, or our commitment to environmentally responsible solar, we endeavour to set ourselves apart.

In our brief yet impactful history, Tindo has emerged as a formidable player in the Australian PV module market. Our Mawson Lakes operations have witnessed significant growth and expansion, reflecting our commitment to delivering panels of unparalleled quality with each new model. Today, we directly employ around 70 dedicated individuals in roles from Engineering, Quality Assurance, Sales, Service, Installations, Administration and Management, and each of us is proud to work in a company that is striving for excellence and making a positive difference.

Celebrating Culture and Country

Tindo’s founders envisioned their new, Australian-owned solar company to forever be tied to its birthplace, the Adelaide Plains in a uniquely creative manner.

Through collaboration with the Kaurna people, the traditional custodians of the Adelaide Plains area, our Founders discovered and received permission to adopt the word ‘Tindo’ which translates to mean sun in the Kaurna Warra language.

Today we proudly maintain the approval from the Kaurna people for the use of the word Tindo, acknowledging the spelling has evolved in tandem with the rediscovery of their warra (language).

Our Management Team upholds a strong commitment to recognising and deepening their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

At Tindo we aim to establish a legacy of respect and collaboration with all First Nations Peoples. Our initiatives in this regard include:

  • Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP):
Demonstrating our dedication to reconciliation, we are actively collaborating with Reconciliation Australia through the Reconciliation Action Plan Program. View our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan here
