Tindo collaborates with City of Burnside to Support Solar-Battery Uptake
Tindo has signed an agreement with the City of Burnside to support greater uptake of solar and battery storage systems among businesses and households in the local government area.
Australia’s only manufacturer of solar panels will work with the City of Burnside to support residents’ understanding of the benefits of solar and battery storage, while providing access to exclusive offers developed specifically for the local community.
The City of Burnside sought the development of a Community Renewables Program to help local residents and business owners. The Council identified that the Burnside community could make substantial savings by installing photovoltaic (PV) solar systems and battery storage solutions. The program is designed to make these systems easier to access for the community.
Mayor of Burnside, Anne Monceaux, said the program was part of Council’s commitments to supporting the community and environmental action.
“This program gives our community an easy and affordable way to reduce their energy bills. We’re proud to be partnering with a South Australian manufacturer to deliver real benefits for our residents and businesses. It’s a win for households, a win for businesses, and a win for the environment.”
As part of the program Tindo will provide exclusive offers to City of Burnside residents and businesses, helping participants to reduce emissions and their energy bills.
Chief Executive Officer of Tindo, Richard Petterson, said the company was delighted to be named the industry collaborator in the Community Renewables Program, and encouraged the community to get involved.
“We’re very happy to be working with City of Burnside on this program,” said Mr Petterson. “We’ve developed ways to reduce emissions and reduce energy costs, that everyone can take advantage of. We have a team ready to support the community with expert advice and friendly service.”
Mr Petterson added, “the combination of Tindo’s exclusive Burnside offers and the federal Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program, make solar and battery systems more affordable than ever.”
